The Tower
Five floors of pristine stone raised over the gate at the peak of Eterna, and the home of its guardian and his household.
History
From a distance it looks dark, dreary and ominous. Up close it is gentle and elegant: smooth, cold outer walls, warm light spilling from the windows, manicured grounds behind a wrought black steel fence, and narrow balconies watching over the endless forest below.
Its corridors have polished beige floors and deep crimson walls accented with gold, hung with tapestries, weapons and suits of armour. A grand portrait shows the Lord with a cyan-haired woman and his three children, all smiling.
Two enormous magical barriers shimmer above the peak, inscribed with ancient symbols. Monsters never climb the mountain — their instinctive read of mana tells them the fight is unwinnable, and veterans describe the aura rolling off the stone as utterly frightening.
A hidden passage behind a bookshelf in the study leads down to the chamber of the gate.
