Chiyo Minamoto

Overview

Chiyo Minamoto is the nurse of the School of Knowledge for Gifted Children and a gifted healer from the Kingdom of Chiseido. Once a commoner, she gained her place among the school’s trusted staff through the scale of her magical ability. Her presence offers a counterpoint to the institution’s entrenched rank-consciousness: her office is one of the places where a student’s injuries matter more than their house.

She appears during the Battle of the Kings when Ryuji Sato seeks treatment after the semi-finals. The scene places her within the practical aftermath of the tournament’s violence, rather than its spectacle. Volume I supplies no later independent storyline for Chiyo; her established role is healer and school staff member.

Connections

Chiyo serves the same school led by Elian Stewart and administered in the arena by Professor Tomo. Her encounter with Ryuji follows the escalation of his contest with Riki Shibatani.
