He intimidated most of his year out of the Battle of the Kings, leaving only eight entrants, and had an underling register purely to yield to him.

Ryuji beat him at the training grounds without taking his hands from his pockets, then in the semi-final surrounded him with regenerating shadow puppets and refused to release him even after he begged. He was carried from the arena unable to move, and later led a fifteen-strong ambush that ended just as badly.
