Sophia Dion

Overview

Sophia Dion is a student of House Dion, daughter of Alexander Dion, Marquess of Helio. Her family’s power comes from unmatched mercantile strength, and Sophia initially treats the school’s nobility as a natural order. When she meets Ryuji, she offers protection only in exchange for lifelong fealty and service; his refusal turns the encounter into a public challenge to her authority.

Sophia enters the Battle of the Kings against Sawano and is defeated. She later joins Riki and other nobles in the assault on Michika, positioning her with the group Ryuji confronts after becoming King. Her actions make clear that the tournament result does not immediately change the attitudes that produced the school’s abuse.

Connections

Sophia is Riki’s ally, Sawano’s defeated opponent, and an early antagonist of Ryuji. Her House Dion lineage links personal entitlement at the school to the commercial influence of Helio.
