House Hayami

Noble house and inherited art

House Hayami is a Chiseido noble house whose inherited element is ice. Its influence grew from minor nobility through the deeds of Reiko Hayami, and its standing is apparent in the school generation. The family’s magic is not abstract heraldry: Reiko can raise ice pillars at once, while his son creates icicles with unusual speed and commands floating ice swords.

Yuki Hayami

Yuki Hayami carries the family name into Class 2-B. His initial friendship with Ryuji is notable because he evaluates strength directly rather than treating lineage as a complete answer to worth. He explains the Battle of the Kings, later takes the title of Jack, and becomes a moral counterweight when Ryuji’s power turns cruel.

Family and school

Reiko’s presence at the school’s parents’ gathering and Sawano’s warm greeting to him show that House Hayami is woven into the academy’s older social network. Yet Yuki’s choices show that an inherited house need not dictate an inherited prejudice. In a school ordered around noble entitlement, the Hayami name is attached both to high ability and to a relationship that challenges that order.

Ice magic on the mountain

Reiko and Yuki travel together in the rescue party. Reiko's ice pillars and cannon provide the only workable approach to the Tower balcony, while Yuki's rapier and speed help clear the forest route. Their participation connects House Hayami's inherited magic to Ryuji's circle of friends.
