Lord Hasegawa

Overview

Hikari military lord. This is a carefully bounded Volume II article: its descriptive title does not supply an identity the manuscript withholds.

Recorded role

Lord Hasegawa is an officer in Kenji Osore's loyalist army during the Battle of a Thousand Shadows. When Kenji orders him to send forward his finest swordsman, Hasegawa immediately calls Yamato into single combat.

Yamato is killed by three arrows before an honorable duel can begin. Hasegawa turns the killing into a declaration that Arata Hikari's forces have abandoned honor and tradition. Volume II supplies no family history, abilities or later fate for Hasegawa; those details remain unknown.
