Kenji Osore

Overview

General Kenji Osore is a veteran commander who served the late Yoshino Hikari. After the Hikari succession conflict begins, he is the first major officer to stand with Satomi Hikari and rally troops to the rightful queen.

Arrival at the Tower

Kenji reaches the Tower during Satomi's six-month refuge and brings the military cause back into the sanctuary. He and Satomi work over maps, supply routes, recruitment, and the practical problem of returning to Hikari. His report eventually places twenty thousand loyalist soldiers at the forest's edge.

Service to Satomi

Kenji serves House Hikari as a general; he is not a blood member of the royal family. His loyalty connects Yoshino's reign to Satomi's claim and gives her the force necessary to leave the Tower by the end of Chapter 17.
