The Black Hand is the assassin company hired by Arata Hikari to pursue Satomi and Yumi. Arata is its client, not one of its members.
Defeat at the Tower
The assassins follow the injured women to the Tower and identify them as fugitives acting against Arata's order. Zero invokes his lord's standing command to defend the boundary. The barrier prevents the company from reaching its targets, and Zero kills the leader and remaining attackers with thrown knives. Their failure gives Satomi the sanctuary from which she rebuilds her loyalist cause.
