Description
The portal has stayed open for decades without a flicker. Armies from both sides have crossed it countless times, each endlessly claiming the other struck first. Human scholars tell the story again and again. It was never the truth.
The residents of the Tower and their guests step through the gate expecting a hellscape of ash and bone. What they find is the Frontier: a thriving capital of spires and open markets under a sunlit sky, and a population that has excellent reasons to hate every one of them.
At the end of the avenue sits a king who was once a commander, and beside him the champion who will decide whether Ryuji Sato spends the rest of his life as someone else's property.
Volume Three is in progress.
History is a tragic thing. It repeats itself endlessly, yet no matter how many iterations we endure, we never learn from our past mistakes.
